Registration fees are required to activate your enrollment status. The maximum registration fee per family is $200. Re-enrolling students will receive a fee waiver if enrollment is submitted by May 1st.
Each student is required to pay a fee that is applied towards books throughout the entire school term. This fee does not entitle students to ownership of all textbooks. Readers and hardbound textbooks are issued on a rental basis and will be returned to the school. If these books are not returned in proper condition or misplaced, a replacement fee will be added to the student account.
In order to maintain consistency with the art supplies and tools, the school purchases student art supplies and the student then reimburses the school with the required fee. This only applies to students in grades 5-12 that are enrolled in Art 1, 2 or 3.
All students (K4-12) are required to purchase a school planner at orientation. Planners are one of the main communication tools for students, parents and teachers.
Students are required to wear the ACS gym uniform during their physical education class. Orders are to be placed at orientation. Students are encouraged to reuse previous years uniforms as a cost savings. This fee only applies to students in grades 5-12 who are enrolled in P.E.
Students in grades 5-12 will be utilizing a chromebook as part of our technology emphasis in the classroom. Parents have the option of purchasing the device from the school or individually. If a unit is purchased outside of school, student accounts will only be billed for the mangaement application totaling $50. Please refer to the ACS order form HERE.
Each year ACS coordinates with outside instructors to offer a variety of specialized class in varying interests for students. Our yearly classes consiste of gymnastics, sign language, guitar. As student interest and instructors are available we have offered: photography, dance, videography, art, and more.
Charges are issued for team sports to help cover the cost of uniforms, game fees, transportation and gym access. These fees range between $40 to $60 depending upon the sport. We offer three sport seasons: fall, winter, spring.
Van carpooling is available for an additional charge of $5 per day. Meeting locations are offered in Waynesboro and Crozet for morning commute only.
Extended care is available for students K4-5th grade. A charge of $5 per day for the first child and an additional $3 per day for each additional sibling. Students transition directly into afterschool at 3:15. Pick-up recommendation is by 5:45PM, Monday through Friday.
Junior and Senior students who are eligible to take online college courses will make payment directly to the Academic Institution. The approximate cost of a semester course is $425 at PVCC.
How to pay?
The 2016-17 monthly fee schedule begins August 1, 2016 – July 1, 2017. The first months tuition fee is due on or before August 15th, 2016. Payments are accepted through online credit card processing and automatic bank transfer. Families may also pay through traditional methods of cash and check in the office.
A yearly financial aid process is available through the FAST (Financial Aid for Student Tuition) application process. The FAST application fee is $42 paid directly to the agency. Families must reapply every year. Application does not guarantee approval of financial assistance. All allocations are based upon available financial aid funding. FAST Application Link
